THIS IS US is a contemporary Nigerian fashion and homeware brand founded in 2016 by husband-and-wife duo Oroma and Osione. Born out of a desire to champion authentic local craftsmanship, the brand centers its identity around Funtua - a 100% locally grown and prheocessed Nigerian cotton - and traditional indigo dye techniques deeply rooted in West African heritage. By taking everyday, functional designs and crafting them entirely within Nigeria, THISISUS aims to redefine global perceptions of quality and slow fashion under the prideful banner of ‘Made in Nigeria’.

In Lagos we’ve shot an editorial for THISISUS, showcasing their workwear collection in 2021. We featured the brand in an article on Fashion from Africa in Elle magazine (2025). They’ve hosted two very successful pop ups at ours, in 2023 and 2025, selling their Funtua items to our community.
